Summer of 2010 is quickly coming to an end. Since Three Rivers Ranch (TRR) relocated this last spring we have spent the majority of the summer clearing brush on the new place, putting in fences, excavating and area to store hay for the winter, doing minor repairs on the house and well, and buying and stacking all the hay for winter. We leased another 20 acres of pasture right down the driveway which the horses have been able to graze on all summer and Jason has another lease on 50 acres not too far from us. It still needs some fence work to be able to use the whole thing but we're able to use about 18 acres for the moment. After we finish up fences for the winter pasture we still have to rent an excavator and put in water and power for the water troughs and level a spot for the round pen and Jewel's pasture and shelter before snow hits (we're hearing we're supposed to have a pretty rough winter). Work is finally starting to slow down a bit so maybe I'll have more time to help Jason with the major projects.
There has difinately been the occasional needed days off from work around the place to go on trail rides. Mystik was taken her first trail ride, which included crossing water, and did awesome! The wildlife you can see around here is absolutely amazing! Deer, turkey, elk, and even moose both on the trails and at home! There has also been the occasional sighting of black bear, cyote, bobcat, and wolf (I'm still hoping I don't see any cougars anytime soon).
We let a couple boarders and training horses in this year but limited the number and legnth of stay to 2 horses and only until October 1, 2010. Hopefully by next year we will be able to take one or two more.

Three Rivers Ranch will be relocating to Valley, WA. About an hour drive from Spokane, WA we are quietly nestled on 20 acres in the southwestern edge of the Selkirk Mountain Range. We have downsized our horses owned and will only be taking KS Montana Bold Rush and two mares, Mystik Dreemr and Bey Shahzarette with us. RF Kahiil has been sold to Brandalynn Peyton of Arlington, WA (she will continue to stand him at stud for those still interested in breeding to him), and Lady Mayphair has been sold to Kathy of Auburn, WA who plans on continuing her training and also using her as a broodmare.
